Zuccon’s New Megayacht-Design Division Unveils Its First Concept

The Roman design firm Zuccon International Project, which the architects Gianni Zuccon and Paola Galeazzi founded in 1972, has designed countless yachts, including for shipyards in the Ferretti Group. Now, the design firm has launched its own dedicated megayacht branch, Zuccon SuperYacht Design. Its first concept is for a 295-foot yacht with a steel hull and an aluminum superstructure. The yacht combines classic lines, as in the dramatically flared bow and rounded decks, with an eye-catching partition amidships that divides the vessel’s four decks and adds a contemporary design element. On the main deck, instead of including the typical formal dining area and cockpit, the designers at Zuccon have devoted the extra space to a large saloon, a cinema, and a bar with two balconies. The concept’s other amenities include a beach club, a helipad, two forward hot tubs, an owner’s deck, and a casual teak dining room, which opens onto the aft pool via sliding-glass walls. A master suite, four staterooms, and two forward VIP guest rooms with balconies provide sleeping accommodations for as many as 14 guests. Zuccon has not disclosed whether there is a buyer yet for the concept, but the vessel would certainly be a nice addition to the Ferretti Group’s CRN custom-megayacht division.
