Hot on the heels of Robb Report’s 2013 Car of the Year comes the $106,000 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S (www.porsche.com). This is the all-wheel-drive version of the Carrera S, the contest’s winner. The 2013 4S is powered by the same 3.8-liter, 400 hp engine, enabling the car to sprint from zero to 60 mph in just under 4 seconds when equipped with Porsche’s PDK automatic transmission and Sport Chrono Package. The signature feature of the 4S is the delivery of power to all four wheels, which makes the car more suitable than the rear-wheel-drive Carrera S for daily driving year-round; foul weather will not compromise the car’s sure-footedness. An inch wider rear track and a red light bar that spans the taillights visually distinguish the 4S from the Carrera S. The 4S also features standard 20-inch wheels and 6-piston front calipers.
