The Italian manufacturer’s new matte-black steel Spin D faucet ($2,295) is named for its pull-out spout’s ability to rotate 360 degrees. Spin D has a slim, minimalist design that is suited for installation in kitchens with tight configurations; the thin water lever goes back just 17 degrees, eliminating worry that it might scrape against a backsplash. For the faucet’s black finish, the company forwent the usual powder-coating process in favor of a PVD coating that penetrates the metal by molecular bonding, giving the steel a smooth, matte texture that is highly durable.
