Poliform’s Luxe Furnishings Epitomize “Made in Italy” Flair

Saint-Germain Sofas and Koishi coffee tables combine gorgeous designs and ultimate utility.

Sensuous, organic, curvilinear—the varied components of the Saint-Germain sofa system from Poliform are timeless examples of superior design and unmatched comfort. Immediately inviting, they infuse every space with warmth and intimacy. Arranged together or separately they transform a room from a mere living space into a work of art that reflects the sensibility of the residents.

Evoking classic designs of the 1970s, the collection is designed by internationally renowned French architect and inventor Jean-Marie Massaud, who is famous for seeking synthesis and lightness in his work, using minimalist elements that both evoke nature and suggest a futuristic outlook. The Saint-Germain system showcases Massaud’s creativity at its best.

The many modules of the collection are round and voluptuous even as they encompass linear sofas, L-shaped pieces, corner units, and boomerang forms of varying length. Arranged in any number of combinations, they are endlessly versatile, adding sophistication and an aura of ease to living rooms, studies, showrooms, even bedrooms. However and wherever they’re used, they create an interior landscape unlike any other.

In addition to the wealth of shapes and configurations, the Saint-Germain collection features a choice of coverings: More than 30 fabric options include natural hues that range from cream to subtle blue and green tints to richly vivid grays and browns. Textures vary from smooth twills to voluptuous bouclés. There are half a dozen luxe leather possibilities as well, in contemporary shades from light to dark.

Underpinning the elegant covers is the supple strength of the sofas’ construction: wood structure, molded flexible polyurethane backrest, multidensity polyurethane seat cushions, cotton and feather precovers, and painted metal adjustable legs. An array of optional cushions enhance the final appearance of the furniture and add to its relaxing qualities.

The Saint-Germain collection is complemented by a line of new sensual Koishi coffee tables. The name means “pebble” in Japanese, which relates to the naturalness of materials used. Like the organic lines of the sofas, the shapes of the table are sculptural and asymmetrical. Resting on metal bases in shades of matte brown nickel, champagne, or brunito, the tops are finished in a choice of richly elegant marble, oak or elm, ebony stone, or reflective glass. The tables are the sophisticated accents, elevated touches that complete the room.

The Saint-Germain sofas and Koishi coffee tables come from Poliform, the Italian cabinetry and interior design firm that’s one of the world’s leading furniture companies. Located near Lake Como since the 1970s, Poliform is known for its meticulous attention to detail, bringing together culture and innovation in products that are stylish and iconic, yet supremely functional.
