The new S7 yacht is a breakthrough for Azimut’s highly innovative “S” series, a collection that created a new category when it was launched just more than a decade ago. The Stefano Righini exterior includes an enclosed helm area that doubles as an interior saloon, with lounges, tables, and galley. Full-beam doors at the rear give the owners the option of climate-controlled living or connecting to the great outdoors. The diamond-patterned window along the sides lends a distinctive edge to the smart, new design. The full-beam master suite on the S7 also looks like it belongs on a larger yacht. Interiors on this model are by Francesco Guida. The 70-footer is powered by triple Volvo IPS systems to give it a top end of 35 knots. The S7 cruises at 31 knots. The added benefits of the IPS drive configuration include joy-stick maneuvering and added space for a tender garage. The S7 comes in Coupe or Sportfly versions. The Sportfly’s upper helm and small fly, while enhancing livability, have minimal impact on the boat’s sporty profile.
