California’s jet-setting skiers are gearing up for an epic season, and it all starts with the exclusive Ski California Gold Pass. Think of it as the powder hound’s version of Willy Wonka’s golden ticket, granting elite access to unprecedented treasures for just a lucky few. Only 100 passes will be sold for the entire season, and the perks are very real, covering entry to 32 resorts in California and Nevada, including Mammoth Mountain, Squaw Valley, Sierra-at-Tahoe, and Sugarbowl.
New for this year, exclusive custom skis made by Praxis Skis are available for pass-holders to purchase, or they can head to Mammoth to see Shaun White, Chloe Kim, and other athletes compete in the U.S. Freeski and Snowboard Grand Prix, running from January 17 to 21.
And for those skiers looking for something truly special—and daring—a visit to Squaw Valley should include Alpenglow Expeditions’ new Rockstar program, which takes guests on backcountry outings with celebrity athletes like Michelle Parker, Cory Richards, Adrian Ballinger, and Emily Harrington.
