Although the exterior of the 180-foot CRN Atlante carries a stylized military look, its interior design by Paris-based Gilles & Boissier is subtle, in muted hues enhanced by strong natural light flowing through multiple banks of windows. The studio of Nuvolari Lenard in Venice designed the battleship-like exterior, giving it sharp lines, square shapes, and a black upper superstructure (even the windows are tinted).
