A converted sheep farm, Eleven Experience’s chic Deplar Farm is nestled in between two fjords in northern Iceland’s remote Troll Peninsula. Not far from the Arctic Circle, the property facilitates extreme heli-skiing on double-black-diamond-level slopes—some of which have never been skied on before (if you are first to ski a run, you get to name it). There’s also snowmobiling, skeet shooting, and horseback riding, and during the summer, you can also fish and mountain bike.
Back at the farm, there’s an indoor-outdoor swimming pool with an attached bar and a restaurant serving local delicacies like Arctic char and tender Icelandic lamb. At night, guests retire to elegant guest rooms complete with remote-controlled blackout curtains—key during the summer months when the Icelandic sun never sets.
