Chef Ricardo Zarate has made a stunning reemergence on the L.A. culinary scene with an ode to his homeland of Peru and his mother’s cooking at his restaurant Rosaliné. World renowned chef Virgilio Martinez of Central in Lima—currently one of the world’s top-ranked restaurants—is visiting town for the Food Bowl and cooking lunch with Zarate. The event will show off the traditional methods of Zarate in contrast to Martinez’s modernist approach to Peruvian fare, followed by a discussion with the chefs led by legendary critic Jonathan Gold.
