Gulfstream G280
With a top speed of nearly 562 mph, the Gulfstream G280 (gulfstream.com) is fast enough to have set several international speed records, and it can make the trip from New York to Los Angeles in just 5 hours. Its range is more than 4,000 miles. The aircraft’s 26-foot-long cabin is large by super-midsize standards; it is just over 6 feet tall and 7 feet wide. The cabin design, which includes 19 windows, optimizes elbowroom by elevating the seats slightly so that passengers sit at the widest part of the cabin, and the seats can slide toward the aisle.
Typical configurations accommodate eight to 10 passengers and include berthing for as many as five. The 154 cubic feet of baggage space includes one compartment that is accessible in flight. The aircraft is priced at $24.5 million.
