If longevity is the mark of a successful turntable manufacturer, VPI Industries entered the pantheon of industry heavyweights long ago. After nearly 40 years in business, the family company continues to thrive under the leadership of the founder’s son. The VPI Titan is the ultimate culmination of those 40 years of experience. The $40,000, black and chrome tower takes many design cues from its predecessor, the VPI Avenger, but turns them up to eleven, with a magnetic rim drive assembly and a beefier appearance. The beauty of the Titan? It is also an incredibly capable piece of audio gear that accommodates up to 3 tonearms, eliminates power supply interference, and offers incredible isolation from the surrounding environment thanks to VPI’s custom isolation feet.
