A Timely Entrée into Pens

Hand-turned resin in cool marble or warm tobacco tones and jewelry-quality filigree combine to create the first collection of Cuervo y Sobrinos pens. Introduced this spring, the fountain and roller ball pens are the Switzerland-based company’s first foray into the world of luxury writing instruments. Three layers of resin are used to ensure a depth of color and long-lasting luster on the cap and barrel. The finely finished metal overlay is available in bronze and 18-karat rose gold or rhodium plate. The fountain pen, limited to just 350 pieces worldwide, has an 18-karat gold embossed nib, and “Cuervo y Sobrinos Havana 1882” is engraved on the cap band. The roller ball pen employs a capless refill system; just 700 pieces are available worldwide. The pens are priced from $750 to $1,550. (www.cuervoysobrinos.com)
