Creating beauty amidst chaos inspired artist Olayami Dabls to convert some of Detroit’s dilapidated buildings into large-scale art installations. Dabls utilizes four primary materials—iron, rock, wood, and mirrors—which have important ties to African culture. An example of his work is Detroit’s MBAD’s bead gallery.
