A 6-foot-by-4.5-foot, 330-pound atlas from Australian publisher Millennium House, Earth Platinum (www.millenniumhouse.com.au) stands taller and weighs more than most of its readers. The $100,000, 128-page book includes maps and photo spreads—made from stitching together as many as 1,000 images—of world wonders. The atlas represents four years of work by nearly 100 cartographers, geographers, and editors. About half of the 31 numbered examples of Earth Platinum are still available.
