Artfully Designed Wine Storage

Henrybuilt, an award-winning designer and manufacturer of contemporary furniture and refined kitchen cabinets, is offering a unique custom wine storage system. The Seattle-based company, inspired by the founder’s grandfather in North Carolina—a talented stonemason, carpenter, and cabinetmaker—crafted the first of the minimalistic shelves for an oenophile in Mexico City last winter, and a fully customizable rendition of the storage system is on offer to the public. Fashioned from brushed or anodized aluminum support bars and waved panels in materials such as American black walnut, white oak, or teak, the built-to-order system can be made to store any number of bottles and can be configured numerous ways to fit into virtually any type of room. The shelves, which start at $1,200, also are easily assembled for do-it-yourself installation. (206.624.9270, www.henrybuilt.com)
