Baccarat Opens a Sparkling New Flagship

The French crystal manufacturer Baccarat unveiled its new flagship boutique on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue in June. The stylized entryway, which features a diamond pattern cut into glass, opens to a 2,800-square-foot store with a jewelry bar, a lounge that showcases Baccarat’s home decor collection, and a dining room set with its new crystal stemware and barware. Among the store’s debut collections is the Lady Crinoline Comète three-tier chandelier ($44,850), which incorporates LEDs into a reinterpretation of the classic 19th-century-style chandelier. The store also features some of Baccarat’s more playful items, like the Zoo Elephant candy bowl in porcelain or crystal ($1,000 and $1,200), which is part of an eight-piece collection of novelty bowls crafted in the shape of animals. Late next year, the Baccarat Hotel and Residences New York is set to open in conjunction with the company’s 250th anniversary. (800.777.0100, www.baccarat.com)
