Bahamanian Bliss

Innocence Island, the Bahamas’ largest privately held isle, is set for auction at the Trump SoHo New York on May 15 through Concierge Auctions in cooperation with Damianos Sotheby’s International Realty. Located in the Exumas archipelago, the 681-acre island features a six-bedroom house atop the highest rise. The 5,000-square-foot main house has light bamboo hardwood floors and cool blue-and-white furnishings that extend out onto to several alfresco dining decks, which offer panoramic views of the Atlantic. The property also features a pool, a private jet runway, a boat dock with a thatch-roofed palapa, and three additional residences—a four-bedroom Indonesian mahogany home that accommodates the staff, a caretaker’s house, and a bungalow with a full gym and a multilevel meditation deck that overlooks the bay.

Residents can lounge on one of the island’s six white-sand beaches that served as the lush shooting backdrop for the 2003 film Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl or partake in a variety of outdoor activities, from deep-sea fishing and stand-up paddleboarding to exploring Innocence’s 15 miles of nature trails, many of which are lined with native mango, lemon, and guava trees.

Originally offered at $55 million, the island will be sold at or above a $10 million reserve. (www.conciergeauctions.com)
