Luxury resort and real estate operators Auberge Resorts Collection, together with the visionary development team behind Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale – The Related Group, Fortune International Group and The Fairwinds Group – officially kicked off construction this week with a ceremonial groundbreaking. Upon completion, Auberge Beach Residences & Spa Fort Lauderdale will feature 171 residences ranging in size from 1,500 to 5,000 square feet across two iconic towers on the site of the former Ireland’s Inn. The exquisitely designed buildings will capture sweeping ocean views and feature designs by acclaimed interior design firm Meyer Davis Studios and architecture firm Nichols, Brosch, Wurst, Wolf & Associates.
“We are thrilled to mark the groundbreaking of Auberge Beach Residences & Spa in Fort Lauderdale,” said Mark Harmon, Managing Partner, Auberge Resorts Collection. “It is an honor to work with such an esteemed group of developers and bring the Auberge brand’s unique sensibility to help create a new vision for Fort Lauderdale. As the only beachfront residence of this caliber and first new ultra-luxury residential offering to break ground in the Fort Lauderdale market, Auberge Beach Residences & Spa is setting a new lifestyle standard for this stretch of Florida’s most beautiful beaches.”
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler thanked the community for the tremendous outpouring of support while noting the collaborative efforts of The Related Group, Fortune International Group and The Fairwinds Group, saying that this project is a success because it was “done the right way, by the right people, with the right goals,” along with resounding support from the local community.
Also in attendance were Broward County Commissioner Chip LaMarca and Fort Lauderdale City Commissioner Bruce G. Roberts, as well as NFL legend and former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino, who purchased one of the first residences offered at the project earlier this year. These notable guests, among others, gathered on the oceanfront terrace of Auberge Beach Residences’ art-filled sales gallery as two lithographs depicting Ireland’s Inn, the hotel that stood on the project site for more than 60 years, were presented to Jack Ireland, the former landmark’s namesake. Upon completion, one of the commissioned lithographs will pay homage to the site’s history among additional commissioned artworks in a ground-level gallery.
Auberge Beach Residences will capitalize on its spectacular setting along 450 feet of prime coastal frontage through maximizing indoor-outdoor connectivity throughout individual residences and public spaces, including the beachfront signature Auberge restaurant. The restaurant will feature casually elegant indoor-outdoor dining offerings and an expansive outdoor bar designed to enhance the beachside setting and signature restaurant’s lively American bistro concept.
Now under construction, the North Tower has already sold 85 percent of its residences while sales of the South Tower launched in November. The enormous sales success that this project has received thus far demonstrates how Auberge Beach Residences is setting the stage for a new wave of luxury development in the Fort Lauderdale real estate market and the entire greater Broward County community.
Residence features include: expansive terraces, some with private pools; flow-through contemporary floor plans with 9’6” floor-to-ceiling windows; private elevator access and entry foyers in all residences; and gourmet kitchens with Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances.
