Earlier this year, Hering Berlin—the German maker of porcelain plates and bowls found in the restaurants of Pierre Gagnaire and other top chefs—debuted its first non-porcelain products, which include the Domain and Source glassware collections (www.heringberlin.com). The Domain series comprises carafes, decanters, and wine goblets with smoke-colored roemer stems and bowls designed for Chardonnay, Bordeaux, and other varietals. The Source line features spirits tumblers with thick bases and fine rims. The pieces in both series are priced from $110 to $345 per glass.
