Using an Italian technique not known by many, artisans inlay thin strands of brass in molten glass while blowing it into shape. Embedded within, the nearly dissolved brass strands create bubbles that glow with secret warmth once illuminated. Adding to this organic feel is a cone motif reflected in three areas: the top of the inner stem, under each glass shade and as a finial, lending the piece a subtle symmetry.
