Malabar Releases Art Deco-Inspired Room Divider

The Trinity folding screen is the newest addition to the World Architects collection by Portuguese furniture designer and maker Malabar – Emotional Design.

World Architects is a tribute to some of the world’s most renowned architects. In this collection, Malabar combines the architect’s vision with its own signature design to conceive furniture that aims to be unique, timeless and instantly recognizable.

Norman Foster has left his stamp on innovative and sustainable architecture in the past 4 decades. Forever conscientious of the culture and surroundings of his projects, the Hearst Tower erected in Manhattan is one of his greatest achievements, if only for standing out in this sky-scraper filled island.

Inspired in the Hearst Towers, Malabar created a contemporary folding screen with a clear art deco influence. Trinity exhibits a rhythmical combination of optic glass, smoked glass and mirror, all within an intersecting structure of polished brass that is reminiscent of Foster’s preference for oblique and geometric lines.
