Orlando Diaz-Azcuy

Signature: “We create luxurious, understated interiors, no matter what the budget. We avoid flashy, in-your-face luxury.” His work is informed by modern principles (uncluttered, well-lit open spaces that are serene rather than showy), even when the particular genre he’s working in at a given moment is traditional, contemporary, or something in between. His rooms tend to employ clean-lined furniture upholstered in textured solids—busy patterns are almost nonexistent—as a backdrop for a few carefully chosen accent pieces that add character (an elaborate Chinese armoire, an ornate hand-carved candelabra, a grand Venetian mirror).
