Park City, Utah
Life at Montage Deer Valley is far from clichéd. Owners of the resort’s vacation homes do not reside among plaid-upholstered furnishings or the other ubiquitous trappings of typical mountain retreats. Instead, buyers can opt for one of the luxury property’s fully furnished condominiums, which, with overstuffed leather sofas, plush beds, and dark wood accents, showcase the Montage’s mountain-luxe aesthetic, or they can choose from well-appointed designer models that also are anything but predictable.
The latest three designer models (nine have been finished over the past three years) are by Barclay Butera, Tori McBrien, and Beth Ann Shepherd, respectively. Shepherd, who is president of the Los Angeles–based firm Dressed, blended contemporary Italian pieces and midcentury modern styling in a two-bedroom, three-bathroom unit that affords views of Deer Valley’s forested slopes.
Owners at the ski-in/ski-out property have access to all of the resort’s amenities, including the 35,000-square-foot spa and fitness center. And the professionals at Compass Sports, the Montage’s activities hub, assist residents with everything from warming their ski boots in winter to arranging impromptu mountain biking and fly-fishing excursions in summer.
