Interlocked Architecture
American architect Hugh Newell Jacobsen (a former Philip Johnson apprentice and award-winning architect in his own right) built his career by designing modernist, gabled homes—and this one is no exception. Envisioned by the prolific architect and Simon Jacobsen, the 6,500-square-foot home is comprised of 10 interlocking pavilions crafted from glass, steel, stone, and quarried limestone. Each of the pavilions stretch toward the sky in a manner reminiscent of the surrounding 14,000-foot peaks.
