Brioni’s creative director, Brendan Mullane, flawlessly combined Eastern and Western cultural influences in a collection that shows his masterful and innovative use of fabrics. After a visit to Japan, Mullane collaborated with time-honored kimono makers, weavers, and artisans to complete his sophisticated, forward-thinking line of clothing. “I think people will be drawn to the aesthetic, because it is so pure but full of real tradition yet totally contemporary,” he says. This level of artistry is exemplified in (from far left) a hand-chiseled mink coat ($44,600), a sartorial kimono suit ($7,000), and a limited-edition, hand-painted silk blouson jacket ($37,575).
