An impeccably tailored sport coat, a crisp white shirt, and classic dark jeans are wardrobe essentials, according to Jeffrey Rüdes (jeffreyrüdes.com), the fashion entrepreneur who is unveiling an eponymous men’s clothing collection in July. (Rüdes previously started, and then sold, the successful J Brand label.) He says that men are dressing more relaxed today but still want to look polished. With that in mind, he created a series of versatile pieces that include the double-breasted Super 120 wool blazer ($1,600), printed silk shirt ($550), and jeans ($350) shown here. “When a guy puts on a great-fitting, comfortable sport coat and jeans, he feels good about himself, and it shows,” says Rüdes. The collection includes five different sport-coat models, available in a range of materials, and such versatile underpinnings as a knit jersey button-down shirt that feels as comfortable as an old T-shirt. The clothes will be available online and at the Jeffrey Rüdes store, which is scheduled to open in July in New York’s SoHo neighborhood.
