This week sees a smattering of partnerships likely and unlikely, including Todd Snyder and John Derian, Stubbs & Wootton and Assouline and Norse Projects and artist Geoff McFetridge. While these couplings have made for some enviable new products, no collaboration was necessary to produce a linen guayabera at Drake’s, a madras Western shirt by RRL and a lighter-inspired card case from Dunhill. Might as well get at it.
Brooks Brothers Regent Regular-Fit Sport Shirt
In Brooks Brothers’ capable hands, the camouflage shirt loses its Duck Dynasty connotations courtesy of a tropically minded print. Pleated button-flap pockets and sleeve roll tabs keep it semi-utilitarian, while an English-style spread collar opens it to wear with a black knit tie.
Orlebar Brown Ullock Linen-Blend Blazer
There’s no hard science to dictate the ideal fabric ratio of a linen-cotton blazer. But we have a good feeling about this single-breasted model from Orlebar Brown, whose fabric is composed of 53 percent of the former and 47 percent of the latter.
Tombolo x Le Sirenuse Limoncello Shirt
In a very on-brand move, Tombolo has coupled with Positano hotel Le Sirenuse to produce a summery capsule collection that includes this tencel cabana shirt embroidered with a mermaid and a limoncello bottle. Those feeling particularly Mediterranean can combine it with a pair of matching swim trunks.
Loro Piana 360 Flexy Walk Leather-Trimmed Knitted Wool Sneakers
Allbirds? Never heard of them. Our attention is fixed on this knit wool sneaker from Loro Piana made with a ribbed collar, leather trims and a grippy rubber sole.
Norse Projects x GM Twill Cap
Canadian artist Geoff McFetridge has lent his illustrative talents to Norse Projects, resulting in a capsule collection that includes this khaki twill cap. It features McFetridge’s stylized depiction of a mountain range, which may add an outdoor touch to even indoor settings.
Saint Laurent Long-Sleeved Denim Shirt
We’re sure you have a blue denim Western shirt in your summer rotation—but what about a khaki green one? If that’s a void that needs filling, consider this piece from Saint Laurent, which features snap buttons and stonewash fading.
Timothy Everest Seersucker Drawstring Trousers
There’s only one way to make a pair of seersucker pants breezier, and that’s by adding a drawstring waist. Timothy Everest got the memo and cut its version from a checked wool-cotton seersucker that’s much less expected than the typical blue-and-white stripe.
Garbstore x Padmore & Barnes Side Seam Slide Shoes
With help from Garbstore, Padmore & Barnes has let its metaphorical hair down and reimagined its side seam slides with literal calf hair uppers. A pair of buckled straps will keep you in and beefy crepe soles prep it for serious mileage.
RRL Slim Cotton-Linen Madras Western Shirt
Madras goes West in the form of this cotton-linen shirt from RRL. Made from yarn-dyed Indian madras and kitted out with pearl snaps, it will be equally welcomed on polo fields and rodeo fairgrounds.
Ron Dorff Tube Bag
There aren’t many ways to improve on the design of the classic gym bag, but Ron Dorff found a way. The Franco-Swedish sportswear brand added a zipped sub-compartment to its model, which helpfully separates sweat-soaked garments from your fresher duds.
Drake’s Linen Short Sleeve Cuban Shirt
The chaps at Drake’s have discovered their inner Papa Hemingway and produced this short-sleeved Cuban shirt made in England from 100 percent linen. Kitted out with mother-of-pearl buttons, vertical pleats and four pockets, it ought to please any guayabera aficionado.
Dunhill Rollagas Zip Card Case
No, you’re not wrong in thinking that this Dunhill zip card case looks like an extra-large lighter. It’s inspired by the design of the maker’s Rollagas lighters from the 1970s, but unlike its source material, features six card slots and a zippered compartment.
Todd Snyder x John Derian Camp Collar Shirt
Snyder’s collaboration with decoupage king John Derian has yielded this camp collar shirt emblazoned with a 19th-century print depicting a clipper ship sailing past Provincetown. Surely, a pair of matching swim trunks can’t possibly exist (they do).
Stòffa Drawstring Short in Fine Twist Cotton
It’s remarkable what a tailored detail can do to upgrade even the simplest of garments. In the case of these drawstring shorts from Stòffa, a set of inverted box pleats transforms them into something you might wear below a spread collar linen shirt or a gauzy knit polo.
Stubbs & Wootton x Assouline Amalfi to Capri Slipper
“What if fancy coffee table books were shoes?” is the thought behind a new partnership between Stubbs & Wootton and Assouline, and we’re here for it. Particularly the “Amalfi to Capri” slipper, which pulls visual inspiration from two of the publisher’s celebrated titles.
