The Location
In keeping with the Western mood of our fall fashion essay, we selected the Boulders, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, in Carefree, Ariz., for the location. Situated amid 12-million-year-old rock formations on 1,300 acres in the Sonoran Desert, the famed golf retreat is one of the legacy properties of Laurance S. Rockefeller.
