The now-classic unstructured sport coat perfected by Cesare Attolini has come to symbolize the regional style of Naples. Much of the credit for this design goes to the late Vincenzo Attolini, who loved English tailoring but found the jacket’s padding too constrictive and hot for the climate. Back in 1930, Attolini removed the pads and refined the silhouette. Today the brand’s traditions are upheld by his grandsons, Giuseppe and Massimiliano, who offer a range of custom fabrics used to create expressive sport coats. The house style is a three-button jacket with a high armhole for comfort and ease of motion and a slightly roped shoulder.
Specialty: Neapolitan-style jackets; a tremendous range of exclusive fabrics.
