Troubadour’s Travel-Ready Bags

The quest for the perfect travel bag ends in style…

In 2011, the London financiers and frequent travelers Abel Samet and Samuel Bail embarked on an obsessive 18-month search for the perfect travel bag. “Most leather bags we found were too flashy, covered in logos, or too formal to be worn outside the workplace,” says Bail. “We decided to create our ideal bag for transitioning between business travel and casual trips.”

The duo’s resulting line of leather goods, Troubadour, presents elegant bags that are meant to endure the journeys of their owners. The inaugural collection, which launched at Harrods last year, comprised all-black styles in vegetable-tanned leather; this season, the brand has included its first series of colored bags. Styles include a wash bag, briefcase, and weekender in navy, brown, or black, with deep folded pockets and gray stitching ($350 to $2,110). Each bag is made by hand in Muggio, Italy, outside Milan.
