Front Runners May 2015: On the Moc

Elements of Style...

Ideal for warm weather, the J.M. Weston Le Moc’ (jmweston.com) is a revamped version of the perennially popular moccasin that the French shoemaker introduced in the 1940s. The shoe, which is priced at $670, retains the shape of a classic moccasin, but it is fashioned from soft calfskin, and its construction is pared down, making Le Moc’ more pliable and lighter. It is available in an array of colors that includes white cream and aqua blue. The shoes are shown here with cotton socks from Bresciani ($35 per pair, bresciani.it).
