FrontRunners: Foodie Fest

Through its upcoming Ramekins 4-Day Culinary Retreat (www.ramekins.com), Ramekins Culinary School, Events & Inn in Sonoma, Calif., is offering access to some of the region’s most influential food purveyors and restaurants. The retreat, which the school is offering in August and October, includes tastings with the winemakers at Scribe, Hanzell, or Opus One; a tasting at Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company; a private tour and lunch at Hog Island Oysters; a chance to pick heirloom vegetables at Ramekins’s farm, followed by hands-on cooking classes; and a private dinner at the French Laundry during which each course will be paired with a different local wine. The retreat is priced from $4,100 to $4,500, including lodging, and is limited to 10 participants.
