Initially, the lines and balanced design of the Girard-Perregaux Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges (www.girard-perregaux.com) appear similar to the classic three-gold-bridge tourbillon design with which the brand has become indelibly associated. But closer inspection of the $153,150 watch reveals plenty of details that distinguish this new tourbillon caliber from the original. The bridges, which secure the major movement components, are now complex sculptures inspired by modern architecture and intended to convey a sense of volume beneath the large crystal. The watch also features sandblasted finishes, a lightweight titanium tourbillon cage, and enhanced winding efficiency.
