The limited-edition Bremont Wright Flyer (bremont.com) houses the brand’s first in-house automatic movement (developed with Swiss partner La Joux-Perret), which is a major milestone for any watch manufacturer. But this timepiece features another element that may be even more significant to Giles and Nick English, the aviation-watch specialists who founded Bremont: an actual piece of aviation history. The automatic movement’s winding rotor is decorated with a bit of fabric from the muslin wing of the Wright Flyer, the aircraft that Wilbur and Orville Wright famously flew in 1903 near Kitty Hawk, N.C. Bremont will produce 300 Wright Flyers in steel ($25,950), 100 in rose gold ($39,995), and 50 in white gold ($44,995).
