Right now dressing for office life might seem like something from the dim and distant past. Almost wherever in the world you’re reading this, the chances are you’ll be working from home––or from the beach house, mountain hut or wherever you’ve managed to escape to, to ride this thing out. Which might mean living in sweatpants and an old sweatshirt, or a trusty pair of jeans and T-shirts, rather than the usual Monday to Friday ensembles. We’re hearing that even those in the financial or legal industries who still need to dress up for video conferences with clients have been wearing pajamas unseen on their bottom halves (and there’s something rather ‘punk’ to that approach, which we salute!).

And we can’t help thinking that it’s going to feel a little strange getting trussed up in anything too rigid and formal after such an extended period of dressed-down attire. Which is why this collection of looks focuses on comfort as much as it does style: it’s not asking too much to have both, right? So here, three ways to punch up dressed-down work attire for when the lock-down ends.
