Audemars Piguet Fetes Its Iconic Watch

Fortieth birthdays seem to be often accompanied by a blow-out celebration, a fact that is apparently true even when the celebrant is a watch. The many friends of Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak can wish it felicitations during a four-day exhibition March 21–24 at the Park Avenue Armory in Manhattan. Besides more than 100 versions of the famous luxury sports timepiece, the exhibition will feature art installations from Sebastien Leon Agneessens, Quayola, and Dan Holdsworth that play off the environment of Audemars Piguet’s home in the Vallée de Joux. Following New York, the exhibition will travel to Milan, Paris, Beijing, Singapore, and Dubai, and a $100 coffee table book is being published to commemorate the occasion.
