The company’s partnership with Audemars Piguet and its research arm, Renaud & Papi, has yielded the $294,000 Chanel Première Flying Tourbillon (www.chanel.com), which features a movement that is as elaborate as it is elegant. A latticed cage meant to resemble a camellia rotates without upper supports. Though delicate, the structure can withstand shocks. The watch’s rectangular case is set with 5.2 carats of baguette diamonds.
