Perrelet Updates Its Turbine Series with a Chronograph

Perrelet has added the first chronograph to its well-known Turbine collection that transforms the company’s patented double-rotor movement into a visually arresting turbine-blade design on the dial. The chronograph model is executed with unobtrusive and semitransparent elements so that the turbine design remains predominant. The arrangement uses a central seconds hand and two superimposed sapphire disks for the 60-minutes counter—a technically intriguing concept, since all indicators are positioned around the central axis. The 47-mm-diameter case comes in five design variations—three in stainless steel and two in rose gold ($7,850 to $12,950)—with a black diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating, which is used to make steel more durable. All are fitted to rubber straps. (www.perrelet.com)
