The beguiling green dégradé dial of the Sixties Panorama Date ($9,300) from Glashütte Original—the newest addition to its 11-year-old Sixties collection—undergoes an elaborate process to achieve such a vibrant, lustrous hue. First, the dial is imprinted with an intricate guilloche pattern. Next, it’s layered with a galvanic base coat followed by repeated layers of lacquer. Fans of the 42 mm stainless steel timepiece, however, must act fast. The green dial version is only available until spring 2019.
