From September 6 through 8, the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is welcoming 24 lucky guests to take over its award-winning tennis facilities, including six new courts, at its 5th Annual Wine and Culinary Tennis Camp. Each guest ($975 per person for couples, $1,275 for singles) will receive nine hours of instruction from former professional tennis players and tour coaches; lessons will cover stroke production, fast-paced drills, video analysis, and supervised match play.
Off the court, the resort’s sommelier will lead guests through a wine tasting, and chef Dan Witherspoon of Denver’s Gourmet Spoon restaurant will lead a hands-on demonstration of grilling meats, seafood, fruits, and vegetables. Guests will have a hand in preparing a grilled lunch of salmon two ways, pork fajita tacos with orange pico de gallo, and barbecue-grilled pizza. On Sunday morning, guests will have breakfast courtside before their final tennis sessions. (719.471.5847, www.broadmoor.com)
