The Carneros Inn, located in the heart of Northern California’s Napa Valley wine region, recently announced its Ultimate Napa Valley Experience. The package entails a one-night stay in one of the hotel’s Harvest Cottage accommodations and insider access to one of three local wineries—PlumpJack, Cade, or the newly opened Odette Estate—as well as a special tasting menu at the hotel’s Farm restaurant. (Gavin Newsom’s PlumpJack Group owns the three wineries and manages the Carneros Inn.)
For this package, guests select a tour and tasting for two at one of the featured wineries. Those who choose PlumpJack will partake in a private tasting at the winery’s secluded hilltop location; tour the historic facility, which dates back to the 1800s, in the company of the winemaker Aaron Miller; and sample not-yet-released vintages straight from barrel. The Cade option, which takes place atop Napa’s Howell Mountain, begins with a tour led by the winemaker Danielle Cyrot and includes a sampling of Cade’s portfolio of wines with accompanying food pairings. At Odette Estate, guests will be treated to a tasting of current releases; preview the soon-to-open, state-of-the-art winery; take a walking tour of the grounds; and relax in the winery’s private lounge for a delectable food-and-wine pairing. In the evening, the wines from the estate visited will be served during a romantic six-course tasting menu at Farm prepared by the acclaimed chef de cuisine Andrew Budnyj.
Rates for the Ultimate Napa Valley Experience start at $1,285 plus gratuities, based on double occupancy, and additional nights are available. (707.299.4900, www.thecarnerosinn.com)
