Award-winning Anguillan property CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa announces the appointment of Jonas Treffers to Director of Food & Beverage. In his role, Treffers will oversee and manage CuisinArt Golf Resorts & Spa’s acclaimed culinary program, which features five celebrated restaurants and the premiere state-of-the-art, resort-based Hydroponic Farm, offering guests a true epicurean journey from farm to table.

An Amsterdam native, Treffers joins CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa with a wealth of international experience. After attending Amsterdam’s College for Hotel & Gastronomy and receiving a degree in Hotel Management, Treffers spent several years in Europe where he worked in a number of prestigious hotels, including London’s Savoy Hotel, The Royal Horseguards Hotel and Exclusive Hotels. Treffers also served as Food & Beverage Manager at The Clarence Hotel in Dublin. In addition, he was the General Manager of Village at Lyons, a 700-acre estate located in Ireland. Inspired by the flavors and cuisine of the Caribbean, Treffers moved to Bonaire, where he served as General Manager for Harbour Village Beach Club. He later became Food & Beverage Director at Carlisle Bay in Antigua.
Building upon the culinary talents of critically acclaimed Executive Chef Jasper Schneider who joined the property in October 2013, Treffers’ addition to CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa strengthens the property’s already exceptional culinary program. Executive Chef Schneider elevated the already acclaimed Le Bistro at Santorini, Anguilla’s only AAA Four Diamond restaurant, which recently received the prestigious culinary honor of ‘Outstanding Hotel Restaurant’ in SAVEUR Magazine’s 2014 Culinary Travel Awards. Resort guests can even enjoy an exclusive Chef’s Table in Le Bistro’s private dining room, where Executive Chef Schneider creates an inspired eight-course menu incorporating the freshest ingredients from CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa’s own on-site Hydroponic Farm. The culinary offerings are further complemented by wine pairings selected from the Resort’s extensive wine cellar.
Treffers, Schneider and the CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa culinary team have combined their talents to create new menus for all five on-site restaurants, culling together a blend of global influences and local flavors that offer guests a true epicurean immersion in each of the Resort’s diverse dining venues. Guests will enjoy the only true authentic Japanese restaurant in Anguilla, Tokyo Bay, led by acclaimed Chef Yuki Sugimoto, and dine on native Italian cuisine at Italia, located within The Clubhouse at CuisinArt Golf Club.
