DC’s Iconic Mayflower Hotel Launches Election-Year Campaign

Newly renovated landmark hotel is the nominee for the place to stay during an election year.

Washington, D.C. Beginning on President’s Day, February 15, guests can “vote” with their key cards, opting for red or blue, depending on their party choice.  Results of the straw poll will be tabulated at key points during the campaign and shared using the hashtag, #TheMayflowerVote through the hotel’s social platforms.
  • Read red…and blue. While not quite as sizable as the planned Barack Obama Presidential Center in Chicago, during the election season The Mayflower will offer guests a politically-themed presidential lending library on the mezzanine level for browsing. 
  • Presidential has its privilege.  For guests who want a taste of what it feels like to win by a landslide, there’s the exclusive Presidential Privilege package, an inside track to VIP politico status that includes two nights in the newly renovated Presidential or Mayflower suites and a personal paparazzi to photograph you at the city’s most iconic locations, including the U.S. Capitol. The package, priced from $5,000, also includes a personal “secret service” style butler and a power day in D.C., complete with a special behind-the-scenes tour of the U.S. Capitol with a former Congressman, a private monuments at night tour, dinner at a top D.C. restaurant, along with sedan transportation for the evening.
