The Evolved Traveler, an international luxury travel brand providing personalized high-end journeys that promote responsible travel and a strong sense of global community, has teamed up with established partner Carbonfund.org to launch an ecotourism sweepstakes in conjunction with Earth Day on April 22. One lucky winner will receive a seven-day eco-tour journey for two to Costa Rica, which will bring light to The Evolved Traveler’s new program to significantly offset the carbon footprint of every trip they plan.
While sustainability has always been a core value of The Evolved Traveler, the new carbon initiatives take it a step further by neutralizing all carbon emissions for local ground transportation, as well as international and domestic flights utilized by The Evolved Traveler guests. The program also offsets waste on all trips based on the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines. The specific calculations for each trip are measured using carbon emission calculators from both Carbonfund.org and the EPA.
The Carbonfund.org sweepstakes will include two nights at Hotel Grano de Oro, four nights at Lapa Rios Lodge, round-trip economy airfare for two from U.S. to San Jose, Costa Rica, domestic flights and ground transportation in Costa Rica, San Jose city tours and select activities at Lapa Rios, and more. To enter, participants simply need to submit their email address online at CarbonFund.org. Those looking to increase their chances of winning can earn five bonus entries for each $1 tree-planting donation made when entering.
The founder and president of The Evolved Traveler, Justin Smith, is a 30-year veteran of the travel and cruise industries. Having traveled to over 100 countries, he possesses extensive international knowledge and a high level of expertise in itinerary and tour development. Smith created The Evolved Traveler because he believes that travel can “evolve” into something even more rewarding and inspiring not only to the travelers themselves but also to the people they encounter and countries they visit on their adventures.
“Sustainability has always been one of the core values of The Evolved Traveler,” said Smith. “Our ambitious new program and partnership with CarbonFund.org aligns with our mission of bringing about a greater sense of awareness to all aspects of travel, while also working to ensure the health and happiness of our planet for future generations.”
Launched in 2016 The Evolved Traveler, promotes an increased sense of responsible travel and global community. The Evolved Traveler provides exceptional journeys based on travel with a purpose so travelers can help change the world as it expands their own. The philosophy is simple: There’s no reason travelers can’t enjoy the luxury journey they’ve always dreamt of and spend an afternoon in a village to help build a well for fresh water, or deliver bed netting that prevents the spread of malaria. The company works with the belief that travelers don’t have to give anything up, they just simply have to give. The Evolved Traveler offers a variety of journeys all over the world ranging from Peru, Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka and many more.
