Best of the Best 2016: Journeys | Hotels: Fendi Private Suites

Palazzo Fendi opened in 2015 with a two-story Fendi boutique and the seven-room Fendi Private Suites...

Fendi has made the jump from haute couture to hospitality with the opening of this seven-suite hotel within the fashion house’s former headquarters overlooking Rome’s Via dei Condotti. High style infuses every inch, from the Fendi Casa and bespoke Gio Ponti–designed furnishings to the red Lepanto, white Calacatta, and green Favakir marble varieties. In addition to the hotel, the restored 17th-century building is home to Fendi’s largest boutique ever and the first Italian outpost of the Japanese restaurant Zuma.

  • Occupying a historic structure once belonging to the aristocratic Boncompagni Ludovisi family, Palazzo Fendi opened in December with a two-story Fendi boutique and the seven-room Fendi Private Suites.

  • The Italian architect Marco Costanzi designed the hotel to feel like a private home, with cozy living spaces in public areas and apartment-style accommodations.

  • Fendi’s guest assistants act as personal butlers, arranging in-suite massages, personal training sessions, dinner reservations, and more.

  • Upstairs, Zuma reserves priority seating for all suite guests.

  • Downstairs, the new VIP Palazzo Privé is a must for Fendi fans, offering private fittings and events in a stunning space designed by Milan’s Dimore Studio.
