Three remote—and refreshed—tropical resorts.
Sweet Sanctuary ❖ After completing a three-month renovation in August, the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita (fourseasons.com) debuted its Sanctuary Collection, a group of six one-bedroom villas plus one three-bedroom Presidential Villa. Each new accommodation features an infinity-edge pool, a private terrace, and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean or one of the resort’s secluded beaches.
Paradise found ❖ The Seychelles’ famed Frégate Island Private (fregate.com) emerged from a makeover in June, bringing a contemporary new look to its 16 villas with African-hardwood interiors and renovated pool decks. The private-island resort, which has joined the Oetker Collection, also unveiled an updated marina, beach bar, and yacht club.
Thai High ❖ In September, Thailand’s Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa (aleenta.com) completed a yearlong renovation that added 34 new pool villas set among the resort’s gardens. Each villa includes an expansive private terrace with a 24-foot swimming pool and a hot tub.
