The Hay-Adams, one of the world’s leading luxury hotels, is pleased to announce that it has chosen a Tesla Model S as its house car. With zero emissions, the Tesla, complete with charging station, is The Hay-Adams’ latest addition to its ongoing environmentally friendly practices.
Available on a first come, first serve basis from 7 to 10 a.m. and 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, the chauffer-driven Tesla provides hotel guests with a luxurious, comfortable and quiet mode of transportation throughout the city.
“The decision to acquire a Tesla is part of our continued commitment to and awareness of the environment,” says Hans Bruland, Vice President and General Manager at The Hay-Adams. “The Tesla with zero emissions not only helps to preserve our precious resources, but also offers a luxury vehicle for our guests to experience. We also promote and embrace other eco-friendly practices, such as providing free bikes for our guests’ use and enjoyment.”
Among the hotel’s additional sustainability initiatives are its farm-to-table menus as well as its recycling of furnishings, linens and more to Keys for the Homeless, which donates the items to the city’s neediest.
