Italian Hotel Builds a Villa by the Sea

Sasso by the Sea is a new beachfront property in the tiny town of Marmorata, Italy, along the Amalfi Coast, that provides exclusive beach amenities such as a restaurant, relaxation rooms, swimming pool, and private terraces with lounge beds cut directly into the side of the cliff walls. The beachfront villa is available exclusively for guests at the nearby Palazzo Sasso, a 12th-century palace that was converted to a hotel atop a cliff. The 32-room, 11-suite Palazzo Sasso hotel is open from late March through October 15, and rates start at $500 per night. The Infinito Suite, which comprises the top floor of the hotel, is $3,130.
