Marriott Coronado Island Resort & Spa, announces the launch of The Spa at Coronado Island and Wellness Center, a brand new 5,500 square foot luxury facility. In addition, the seaside Southern California property also welcomes a new two-story 6,000 square-foot fitness center.
The Spa at Coronado Island’s holistic approach to wellness focuses just as much on healing therapy as indulgent services, and includes 3,500 square feet of indoor space and 2,000 square feet of outdoor space, featuring 10 treatment rooms, co-ed relaxation room, outdoor spa garden, men’s and women’s locker rooms with steam rooms, as well as a manicure and pedicure salon. Inspired by its seaside location, the new design captures true tranquility, comfort and relaxation through coastal hues, chic new spaces, luxurious rooms and conscious cuisine.
Boasting all of the relaxation and amenities of a luxury spa and wellness retreat without the intimidation, The Spa at Coronado Island offers guests an approachable hybrid between spa getaway and quick, refreshing vacation.
The Spa at Coronado Island and its services are personalized, sensory, and exceptional. In addition to a selection of facials, massage, scrub and wraps, The Spa at Coronado Island and Wellness Center offers Spa Ritual packages, multi-service experiences that utilize Asian healing therapies for total relaxation from head-to-toe. Spa Director Veljko Savic says that the Spa at Coronado Island experience is felt throughout the entire resort.

Through the resort’s Wellness Center, daily and weekly program classes are available, and are tailored to individual needs. Experiences can be joined as often or little as each guest chooses, with options for daily group classes or private one-on-one sessions for a more custom approach.
Also new to the resort and its health and wellness offerings, Executive Chef Michael Poompan introduces a fresh culinary program focused on conscious cuisine. Chef Poompan has crafted an innovative spa menu filled with healthy offerings designed to impact both physical and mental energy. Guests at The Spa at Coronado Island can create their own Wellness Bento Box, which can be customized with an array of different sides, proteins, healthy sandwiches and entrées; the Spa Menu also features pitaya bowls and cold pressed juices.
In addition to the new Spa at Coronado Island and Wellness Center, the Southern California resort opens a new 6,000 square-foot two-story Fitness Center featuring a smart array of state-of-the-art equipment, direct access to fresh air programming, fitness classes and special events for members and groups, movement studio, lap pool, and a total of nine attached sport courts – three tennis courts, one basketball court, one multipurpose court, and four pickleball courts.
