New Ways to Après-Ski in Style at the Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

With record levels of snow already blanketing Northstar California Resort’s mountain, guests and day visitors alike can enjoy unique après-ski offerings and rejuvenating spa treatments mid-mountain at The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe location as well as restorative après-ski fitness classes that are sure to warm up winter travelers.

After a day on the mountain, guests can ski or snowboard directly to the resort’s ski beach to dine at the popular Backyard Bar & BBQ restaurant, offering visitors traditional BBQ favorites and wood-fired oven-baked pizzas with a scenic view of the slopes. In addition, the Backyard Bar & BBQ provides live music every Saturday and Sunday afternoon, delighting both adults and children.

New this year, the resort invites guests to savor The Champagne Experience, which includes Champagne by the glass or the bottle with Oysters on the half shell, available Friday – Sunday throughout the ski season.  Adjacent to the Champagne Bar is an authentic 6-passenger Silver Green Gondola, cabin number 14, which is one of the one hundred and sixty gondola cabins, originally constructed in Veryins, France during 1986 by Sigma.  This unique gondola is enabled with LED lighting inside, a superb Bose® sound system and Bluetooth capabilities.  Guests can relax in the remodeled interior, listen to music, have a drink or use the gondola as a fun backdrop for photos or selfies.

Take “time out” and relax with this unique, locally inspired treatment.  Begin with a full body exfoliation with pine essence to ease muscle soreness and fatigue.  Then enjoy a private soaking tub infused with Epsom salt and sage to stimulate the circulatory system while sipping a warm cup of local tea.  This journey concludes with a full body massage incorporating cedar wood oil to decrease inflammation and alleviate stress.
